I have a confession… I have strayed from my one true love. I have cheated on someone very dear to me… I told my lass… that I’m looking forward to Iron Man more that The Dark Knight. OH GOD BRUCE I’M SORRY!!
In all seriousness though I’ve been fired up for the Batman Begins sequel since exactly five minutes after watching Begins at the cinema. I’ve been reading and watching all I can about Begins online with the rest of the fans, but then out of nowhere (well nowhere to me) out comes the shiny Iron Man. It dazzled me with its shiny CGI and kick arse rock soundtrack. Even better it had Robert Downey Jr in it (one of my favourite actors).
It’s a bit like the husband who’s been married for years and he loves his wife but then that dirty little secretary starts at his place, gives him the big come on and promises of giant mechsuit vs. mechsuit battles (or something like that). It seems all exciting and new how can he possibly resist?! The morning after he then wakes to find the office strumpet is not as good as his wife and then regrets turning his back on her.
This is pretty much how I felt after watching Iron Man (see movie review in this blogpage). I liked it but it wasn’t as special as Batman. What makes me feel worse is the fact they’ve released trailer 3 and IT.IS.AWESOME! I’m sure if I go back on grovelling knee to Gotham they’ll accept me back. Sorry Bruce is all I can say.
