My Comics: Collections - The Annual [Pt 1]

I'll let you know that sales from both our website and conventions of our ‘Unico Collections’ anthology have been well below what we hoped, even with the excellent reviews we’ve been getting. Because of this, we have decided to take two steps. The first is to cancel the anthology series making Issue 3 the last and concentrate on our series stuff. To save costs we’re doing this one in B&W but using a new printers that will get us a very high quality book at a good price. We hope to sell the annual for around the £5 mark. The thinking is that people will want to buy a bigger anthology (containing 20+ comics) instead of smaller cheaper issues with 3-4 stories in each. This way we keep all your work in use and people get to see it. We will continue to sell the issues as normal because we still have stock and they also contain the colour versions of some comics.

However, once they are sold we will not re-stock on the single issues of ‘Collections’ and just concentrate of the Annual which will go on sale for the start of the 2010 season. But this doesn’t mean that these single issues won’t be available to buy elsewhere. They can still be bought from Lulu.com and Indyplanet.com as POD’s. It just means we won’t get stock in to sell at the conventions and our own website.

In the mean time I've been messing aroiund with some cover ideas.
