In July (I hope) Unico Comics will release a new title Unico Collections. UC is a mass of short stories written by the 3 writers of Unico Comics. Back in the later half of 2007 myself, Phil Cuthbertson, and David Wallace wrote a selection of comic stories that were no less than 6 pages short or 16 pages long and they could be about anything. I wrote 7, David 7 and Phil did 5. These where then presented to the 3 Unico artists and 4 outside artists for them to vote… yes VOTE! On which one they want to make. Talk about scary but luckily I did really well and all of my scripts got at least one vote (something I’m very proud of) and even better 4 of them will appear in the finished comic!
The first was Amy’s Story which was picked by a talented young artist called Cleo Delcour-Min. This comic is basically the first 9 pages of my one shot Hellion: The Agent. It’s about a Geordie nurse called Amy who gets targeted by a group of dead aliens inhabiting possessed human bodies. The second story is Reapers which is based on my comic series Faith and this is being done by the excellent Indie comic maker, Brian Gorman. This one is about Reaper Agent Joseph Burnett as he polices the city against demonic terrorism. Third comic is a stand alone called Crash by an excellent artist called David Byrne. This one is a comedy about a crashed spaceship crew. It’s in the vain of 1950’s B-Movies and series one Star Trek. The fourth comic is called Fallen Hero done by good friend and up 'n' coming artist Johnnie Iley. This is based on my 6 issue comic Our Heroes Fall. This is about a son who avenges his father (an ex superhero) death at the hands of the British Goverment.
